Poetry Is The Thing That Cannot Fail
Poetry is the piece of copy
paper you can only fold in half
seven times. It will
not release
to halve itself again and this I
take as a half proof -
that state
of proof as strange as clear glass
which dwells somewhere in
the physical world between truth
and outright lies- that it is surely
real. We know we shouldn’t be
able to see through this solid pane,
but do. Doubt less, sing and dance
more, but poetry alone is the thing
that cannot fail.

Typhoon Wutip has set upon Thailand, but it is drop-dead
beautiful here. I’m feeling stronger
everyday.
